This couple truly had one of the most unique ideas for how they wanted to celebrate their new life together. When Taylor first contacted us, she just had the simple starting place that she knew they didn’t want or imagine them ever having a “traditional wedding”. They loved adventure, always wanted to see the world together, and grow their family. She told us, she would rather take what would be their normal wedding budget to throw a beautiful event at home in Kentucky, and instead, put it towards taking her dream dress, her handsome hubby and take epic portraits in all of the most beautiful, iconic European sites they would love to experience together!
That’s when Zac and I had to sit down and get creative. How were we going to tell a fluid story through these images? We feel that our job is to do that very thing in every session, or event we capture. We want you to feel authentic emotions leap from the images, and we want you to feel like you have just jumped into a beautiful, page-turning story that you can’t put down. Having traveled to most of the places on their list, we started thinking about what our favorite things to do when we have been immersed into these very different cultures. We came up with these distinctive qualities:
Everything is based around the table and outside in the endless, natural beauty. So, that is where we got our inspiration. We wanted to tell a story like it had happened continuously, highlighting our favorite experiences we feel capture the essence of times spent in each culture. Starting at sunrise in Paris, a beautiful coastal drive to a romantic dinner in Italy, ending with a cheers among new friends found at a local pub in the cozy English countryside. They had their vows calligraphed in English, French, and Italian to keep as keepsakes and serve as a reminder that no matter where they are in the world, their love & commitment to each other is the same.
We hope you enjoy roaming around Europe with us through these images! Xx
While they didn’t imagine themselves having a traditional wedding at home, it was still so important to them to be able to say their “I do’s” after having her dad walk her down the aisle, and let their son, Theo, be apart of witnessing them vow to love and serve one another & their family. They ended their intimate ceremony with cake at a nearby family member’s home. Flights to our first stop, Paris, were bright & early the next morning!
Next stop, Italy.
Off to England!
