Happy Derby Day everyone!
I had the opportunity to work with Tiffany, the founder of Julep Candle Co., on her website refresh. Over the years, Tiffany developed a passion for making soy candles filling her home with homemade scents. She eventually decided to actually pursue it as a steady, side job so that everyone could have these fun little keepsakes in their homes, too!
Tiffany has always loved horses and the sweet memorabilia of Southern traditions, like the Derby. She decided to first make a Mint Julep candle and pour it into keepsake cup that resembles the staple pewter julep cup that you can use for future Mint Julep cocktails! I had so much fun watching her candle making process and how much joy she radiates talking about how she got started in this venture!
Just like every year when the Derby rolls around, and whether you are a local or not, you start to crave those sweet, yummy drinks you maybe first tried at the racetrack, you instantly want to join in on those fun, Southern traditions we Kentuckians always seem to hold dear to us- and you probably dream of owning a horse… everyone does it. haha
Thankfully, Tiffany found a way to make the Derby and Southern traditions a year-round household item and/or display piece.
